In one line

Boredom Mode is a set of small toys for iPhone that you play with your hands: pop domes, carve sand, tilt water, draw a beat with light, play a small synthesizer and scratch a record.

The toys

Toys open from a home screen of small moving pictures, so nothing depends on reading. Grown-up settings choose a feel for the whole app (Calm, Everyday or Bright), hide toys, or keep the phone on one toy.

Saving and recording

A grown-up, after a grown-up check, can save an EM8 loop, a Glow song or beat, or a mix as a sound file (WAV or M4A) or a MIDI file, using the iPhone's own Save to Files screen. A grown-up can also turn on Recording, so EM8 and Decks can record a short sound of up to 10 seconds (on Decks, straight onto the record, to scratch or play back funny). Recordings stay on the phone and are kept out of backups. The app sends nothing anywhere. See the Privacy Policy.

Pictures

Please keep the amber dome in the wordmark where it is, and don't recolor or stretch it. Screenshots of version 1.1 will be added here at launch.
